The Vineyards History
As successful business owners in Philadelphia, brothers Michael and Joe Procacci originally purchased the land that would eventually be known as the Vineyards in the early 1960s. As development of the Naples, Florida area began to move northward, the Procaccis turned their attention toward the development of a new community, and introduced Vineyards to the marketplace in the mid 1980's with impressive amenities which included two golf courses and clubhouse, followed by the single-family neighborhood of Valley Oak.
Today, Vineyards is home to more than 38 neighborhoods, many of which are individually gated. As a completely debt-free community, Vineyards and the Procacci's stand poised to deliver many new and exciting products and related amenities in the years to come.
Philharmonic Center For The Arts
The Philharmonic Center for the Arts is a unique non-profit organization featuring both visual and performing arts in a single complex, as well as hosting its resident Naples' Philharmonic Orchestra. Included in this impressive complex are a 1,221-seat main hall and a 200-seat black box theater and 4 museum quality art galleries which host traveling and exclusive exhibitions. Each season the "Phil" hosts more that 400 events which take place year round, including summer children's showcases.
Nationally recognized as one of the leading young orchestras in the United States, the Naples' Philharmonic Orchestra has international recording credits, having accompanied such world renowned artists as Andrea Bocelli, Dmitri Hvorostovsky, Kiri Te Kanawa and the Monte Carlo Ballet in concert. Together with the Naples' Museum of Art, the Orchestra reaches out to the community and local schools with programs that are designed to inspire creativity and awaken curiosity.
